The 4th of July

For the forth of July we had a lot of fun. My family came up and we all went to the zoo! It was super fun even though it was a million degrees outside. Jon tried to be like a gorilla, I came out of an egg and my sister decided to be a tortise...this will all make a lot more sense after you see the pics. After we hit up the zoo we went to a bee's baseball game. It was such a good one! Even though the bee's lost, there was still some sweet homers, a fight, some toss outs and fireworks to old school music after! This all made up for the fact that the lezbians in front of us were knoodling throughout, and the guy behind us ran his mouth about things he thought he knew the WHOLE time. But.. after all, there is nothing better than good ole American baseball and ball park dogs. YUM! Since the game went extras innings the fireworks didn't even start till midnight. So after the game we went to Village Inn to get some eats and finish off a wonderful day.

Fireworks Fireworks Fireworks!

Fishin' Away

These are some random, incredibly good looking pics of Jon and I in our home made tie dye. We spent all day at the lake and caught a whopping ZERO fish. So....after some patience and eating all our red vines, we snapped some photos and headed home. Jon did however manage to sit on a rock covered in ants and get a wicked sunburn. Memories :)

The 'Great Mouse Detectives'

Hello it's been a while snce I posted anything so I'm getting back on the ball :) We are settled into our new place and all is well. I started my summer dance intensive dancing with RDT here in Salt Lake City and absolutely loving it. It's amazing! Although we've been busy we have had time to do a lot of fun thing as of late. Over the weekend we went back to good ole Ephraim to spend sometime with friends and family. The CRAZIEST thing happened. We had driven my car down from SL and were stayed the night at the Adams' house in Manti. The car was fine, but the next morning when we went to leave the vent and AC made a terrible noise anytime we tried to turn it on. After a while we could smell something terrible filling the car. Not the usual car smell like burning rubber or gas. It smelt like death! We decided to take it into the shop before driving back home with no air...and guess what they found?! Mice!....a nest full of mice..or the remnants thereof. Apparently there had been a huge nest filled with mice in the vents and other various places, and when I got in the car and cranked the air I chopped them! And.. since we waited a while we let them bake and fill the car with the foulest smell ever. So...after 2 mechanics throwing up, taking my car completely apart, and $500 later. It was fixed. So there is our bad luck story! And just for the record I really felt bad for my killing spree.

The Latest. . .

So we have been doing a little traveling! Doesn't that first line grab your attention? We decided that Washington was getting old so we headed out to.. well everywhere. As of late we have been to WA, AZ, NV, ID & now we are in Utah!! A lovely group of states I might add. Ha. We flew to Vegas to go to Jon's sister's graduation from pharmacy school, that was a good time, and since I am not old enough to enjoy anything else in Fabulous Las Vegas except the Olive Garden, we did a wild and crazy dinner. Awesome. Anywho, we drove from Vegas to good 'ole Ephraim where we stayed with my parents for a couple days which is always entertaining. Poor Jon had to hang with the girls. Monday we headed to Salt Lake to try & find an apt. and low and behold the last we saw we snagged and are officially getting out of _____Washington!(the blank can be any word you choose to describe the state). Our landlord pulled the keys out of the fridge and let us sign with no questions asked so I'm still debating whether she is loosing it or just a humerous 45 yr. old who loves her spandex sun dresses & lives in the basement. That sounds more sketch when I write it. Either way I will have a good time with the idea of her being flat out crazy. Yay apartment complexes. This post is pretty boring I'm aware, but if you have read this far you either are boring too or you think Jon & I have a more exciting life than you do. If the latter is true then thanks for making us feel better :)

A day in Seattle

Live life fully while you're here. Experience everything. Take care of yourself and your friends. Have fun, be crazy, be weird. Go out and screw up! You're going to anyway, so you might as well enjoy the process. Take the opportunity to learn from your mistakes: find the cause of your problem and eliminate it. Don't try to be perfect; just be an excellent example of being human.

Jon and I decided we needed to go do something fun so yesterday we took a trip into Seattle. We went down to the piers, did the space needle thing (which is high and made my stomach turn), went to dinner, walked through Pikes Place Market and enjoyed the 76* weather! The best part however was our $15 parking in the asian ghetto, and having to walk like 5 miles to safe sidewalks, good times. These our some pictures of the outing. Enjoy how photogenic we are :)

The guy in the tank top need some explaining I just realized. He is on a unicycle, eating an apple he is juggling along with a club & a huge knife! Street performing is amazing isn't it.

Simple Pleasures

Oh my goodness, So You Think You Can Dance starts tonight! Today is officially 100 % better. Hooray television!. . .and we still have ice cream left in the freezer. ah :)

Just another week

Well I am bored again so I decided it's time to ramble. . . Jon is about a week into this new job and is still debating whether or not it's as fabulous as he would have liked, but all is well regardless. I still don't have a job and I really need to find one! I did apply for a job at the mall. . . but, at the interview I was so annoyed with the guy interviewing me I decided maybe not getting that job would be ok. . . guess what. . no job :) Better luck next time I suppose. Other than that not much is new. . I'm learning to actually cook dinner for the hubbs, I think he loves me more now that he actually gets meals on a regular basis :) The joys of real life.

What we're doing in the great WA state

Today Jon officially started his new job. . .and so far so good. I on the other hand get to sit home and go crazy until I start working. My new goal while I have more spare time than anyone needs, is to learn to cook. So if anyone happens to have a quick, easy dish I can attempt to make pass it along!

"You don't mind the rain if you haven't seen the SUNSHINE"

Today is day two of the blogging business and I think I might be getting the hang of it!
I wanted to post this picture to remind myself the SUN does shine in Washington! This is the first time i've seen it since we got here. So it was pretty exciting.
